History of United Airlines.

Joined follows its underlying foundations to Varney Air Lines (VAL), which Walter Varney established in 1926 in Boise, Idaho. Mainland Airlines is the replacement to Speed Lanes, which Varney had established by 1932 and whose name changed to Varney Speed Lines in 1934. VAL flew the main secretly contracted air mail trip in the U.S. on April 6, 1926.

In 1927, William Boeing established Boeing Air Transport to work air mail courses under agreement with the United States Post Office Department. In 1929, Boeing blended his organization with Pratt and Whitney to frame the United Aircraft and Transport Corporation (UATC) which at that point set about purchasing, in the space of only 28 months, Pacific Air Transport, Stout Air Services, VAL, and National Air Transport, just as various gear makers simultaneously.
